Bayan's Annual Cultural Day: Celebrating Diversity on Campus

Students from across the college came together for a day of food, performance, and conversation celebrating Oman's cultural heritage.

Bayan College's Annual Cultural Day brought together students, faculty, and staff for a full day of activities celebrating Omani heritage and the diversity of the campus community.

Tables were arranged across the main courtyard representing different regions, traditions, and student-led themes. Food, crafts, and cultural displays gave visitors multiple points of entry into the celebration.

Student-Led Highlights

The Media Studies students organised live coverage of the event, producing short video segments, photo essays, and social media updates throughout the day. Their work was displayed on campus screens in real time.

A poetry and storytelling session held in the auditorium drew a full audience. Students performed original pieces in Arabic and English, and the response from peers and faculty was enthusiastic.

Cultural Day is one of the best reminders of why a campus community matters. There is real talent here, and real pride.
